About Christ of the Bay Lutheran Church
The people of Christ of the Bay Lutheran Church use their God-given talents and gifts to fulfill the spiritual and physical needs of their communities. What does this mean?
As living sacrifices to God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who created, redeemed, justified, and is sanctifying us, we live by His grace, serving Him and His creation in our various callings, proclaiming Jesus Christ and promoting spiritual growth for all people. We are disciples of Jesus Christ, who are making disciples until He comes!
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20, ESV)
In association with other local LCMS congregations, we have two Lutheran Schools: Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School (K-8th grade), and N.E.W. Lutheran High School (grades 9-12). In our schools, in our jobs, in our neighborhoods…exciting things are happening in, with and through God’s people at Christ of the Bay Lutheran Church, and we invite you to join us.
The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Christ of the Bay Lutheran Church is blessed to be a member congregation of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, participating through the North Wisconsin District of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. As such, we accept without reservation:
- The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as the written Word of God and the only rule and norm of faith and of practice (read or hear the ESV Bible);
- All the Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God (click on The Book of Concord links): the Three Ecumenical Creeds (the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology (Defense) of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, the Large Catechism of Luther, the Small Catechism of Luther*, and the Formula of Concord.
