Reaching Out in Love

Our Music Ministry  Sunday School opening is a place where children offer their praises and they will also be singing in the worship service at various times.

VBS Week in 2016  was July 25-29 at Christ of the Bay. The theme was Barnyard Roundup where Jesus gathers us together, picks us out, calls us by name and loves us now and forever, no matter what! Children learned Psalm 23 through memory verses, songs and activities. Besides serving our member children, it was a great outreach as many unchurched kids attend and learn the saving truth about Jesus!

UWGB Ministry – Rides are available for worship services at Christ of the Bay. Pastor DeCoste 655-3933, to arrange a ride.

There is a Food Pantry at Christ of the Bay. Donations of dry goods and canned foods marked “Pantry” may by left in the kitchen.

We have an Emergency Fund for some of our members who have lost jobs or need assistance. If you are moved to give a special gift, please put a check in the offering plate or send it to the church office. Make check payable to: Christ of the Bay Lutheran, with “Emergency Fund” on the memo line. Pastor will see to it that the appropriate people receive the funds. Thank you for any help you can give.

Our LWML chapter, the Ladies in Mission, has many projects.  In December 2017, personal care items were collected for Transformation House, a homeless shelter for men.. Treat bags were given to each child in the Tannenbaum Christmas program. Thanksgiving food baskets were given to elderly church members.  Each spring, we hold our annual Craft, Bake and Rummage Sale to raise funds for missions such as Trinity Lutheran School.  In the past, we collected items for House of Hope,  marked Bibles for prison ministry and made quilts for the “Linus Project”. Our group meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the church. (except months that begin with “J”).
